Russian hackers are still targeting US and foreign units to gather intelligence for future cyberattacks, US security and intelligence agencies warned.
In a Joint Cybersecurity Advisory, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Homeland Security and CISA found that cyber actors of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) primarily use government networks, think tanks, policy analysis organizations and companies in the Address information technology.
US authorities and the UK’s National Cyber Security Center blamed SVR for the attack on the SolarWinds supply chain, which allowed hackers, along with many government agencies, to gain access to thousands of organizations around the world.
