Autonomous artificial intelligence agent project OpenClaw has teamed up with Google’s malware scanning service VirusTotal after malicious code was discovered on the bot framework’s ClawHub Skills marketplace.
One such malicious capability was recently discovered by Jason Meller of passphrase manager provider 1Password, who discovered that a very popular capability for OpenClaw called “Twitter” had a required dependency listed.
This dependency turned out to be a multi-stage Infostealer malware downloader for Apple’s macOS operating system.
