HPE is introducing new solutions to its GreenLake cloud platform to enhance its capabilities for managing storage, data, and workloads across different cloud environments. The latest updates include HPE GreenLake Block Storage for Amazon Web Services (AWS), which simplifies the placement of workloads in hybrid cloud environments through software-defined storage. This version supports NVMe capacity up to 5.6 petabytes and offers HPE Infosight AIOps for improved performance and resource utilization.
Customers can also utilize HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Business Edition for self-service private cloud management, allowing them to handle edge workloads and move virtual machines between on-premises and cloud environments. This solution now supports the 11th generation of the HPE SimpliVity infrastructure platform and Alletra MP storage controller, offering a modern disaggregated hyperconverged architecture with independent scaling capabilities.
Additionally, HPE is launching the HPE Timeless Program for customers using block storage on the Alletra MP, providing an upgrade to a next-generation controller without interruption upon subscription renewal. This program aims to reduce total cost of ownership by 30% on average by avoiding a major upgrade.
The availability dates for these new products are as follows: HPE GreenLake Block Storage for AWS will be released in late May 2024, HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Business Edition with Alletra MP or SimpliVity Gen11 will be available starting in July. The HPE Timeless program is expected to be available in the third quarter.
Overall, HPE’s updates to its GreenLake platform aim to streamline cloud management and improve performance for customers across various cloud environments.
