The research indicates that Australian organizations prioritize AI, with 44% considering it a primary driver for their infrastructure choices, compared to 35% globally. This focus on AI has led to 99% of Australian respondents adopting a ‘cloud-smart’ infrastructure strategy to optimize workloads in different environments. Additionally, 100% of local respondents reported shifting applications between environments in the past year, with AI and ML integration being a key driver.
The study also highlights the importance of sustainability for Australian organizations, with 100% of respondents prioritizing sustainability efforts. Furthermore, 45% of Australian respondents plan to significantly increase investment in sustainability technologies in 2024. The shift towards hybrid multicloud models is also evident, with the proportion of hybrid multicloud IT models in Australia expected to increase from 14% to 55% in the next 1-3 years. Despite progress in ransomware protection, Australian organizations acknowledge the need for further improvements in this area.
