A public celebration of the life of San Francisco Giants legend and Hall of Famer Willie Mays is set to take place on Monday, July 8th at Oracle Park. The event will pay tribute to Mays’s remarkable talents, intelligence, showmanship, and love for the game. Mays passed away peacefully on June 18th at the age of 93.
The celebration, which is open to all fans and friends of the iconic “Say Hey Kid,” will begin at 4 p.m. at Oracle Park. Doors will open at 3 p.m., and the event is expected to last until 6 p.m. Guests are encouraged to take public transportation, bike, or walk to the park, and parking reservations can be made in advance through Spot Hero.
Admission to the event is free, and no registration is required.
