Rockstar has more details on his Red Dead Online: Blood Money Update comes out next week and debuted a sleek new trailer that shows the daring heist in action. The free update comes out on July 13th and brings new mission types, more cosmetic rewards, and a major update for GeForce RTX users who are getting DLSS support for RDO and Red Dead Redemption 2.
According to the Rockstar Blog, Blood Money revolves around the riches of Angelo Bronte. Bronte Lieutenant Guido Martelli is looking for gunslingers to regain Capitale, a special currency that Bronte has developed for the black market. It has spread to various criminal groups across the West and Bronte wants it all back.
To get the riches back, you can do a new type of mission called. accept crime. This includes all sorts of nefarious acts like kidnapping, shakedowns, and robberies. These crimes will earn you regular rewards, but you can also search hidden chests or corpses for capital. You can also hear about Capitale caches as you wander the open world. When you have raised enough capital for the bosses, it will reopen opportunities, specialized missions to disrupt a politician who is causing problems for Bronte. The first will open on July 13th, with two more to follow in the future.
The free update also adds some goodies outside of the story content. In the Quick Draw Club you can put your skills to the test and earn special rewards, including gold bars and Dutch’s outfit, the Redcliff. Rockstar will also be adding new outfits to the shop in the coming weeks and months, including ones modeled after Marston and Arthur. Some skills and satchel brochures that were previously exclusive to the Outlaw Pass, such as the ability to travel fast from a wilderness camp, are available for sale in the general store.
Finally, the July 13th update will add Nvidia DLSS support for PC gamers with compatible GeForce RTX cards. This way, you can enjoy improved frame rates without sacrificing image quality too much.
