The upcoming flagship successor to Realme, the Realme GT 2, is in the works and a discovery of 91Mobile finally brought us specific information about which processor will power this mid-range beast.

We learn that the latest Realme phone comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 895 SoC, the newest mobile processor chip in the lineup, which will also hit the market later in 2021 (likely at Qualcomm Summit in the last quarter of the year, traditionally).

This makes the Realme GT 2 one of the first phones this year to be equipped with the top-of-the-line SoC, which only a flagship should have. It also keeps up with tradition, as the original Realme GT was also the first handset to sport the Snapdragon 888 last year.

A post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo brought the news that the first official announcement by the company Realme itself. It was revealed by a tech news account called Fast Technology Official, who directly quoted Realme President Wang Wei Derek.

Just like the Realme GT, the GT 2 will initially be launched in India and China but will soon be available worldwide. Its starting price is estimated at 39,999 RS, which is roughly $ 540.
Incidentally, we recently learned that the upcoming camera-oriented variant of the flagship series, the Realme GT Master Edition, also has a little gem in store for us. Several tipsters have now leaked this Realme works with Kodak on the Master Edition to perfect the camera design and setup.

Overall, it seems like we can expect good things from Realme’s next flagship generation, with solid functionality and improvements over last year’s specs, coupled with the enticingly low prices it offers compared to other top brands.
