Rapid7, the Boston-based security operations company, recently took steps to the cloud and announced this morning that it has acquired Kubernetes security startup Alcide for $ 50 million.

As the world shifts to cloud-native systems using Kubernetes to manage container workloads, it is difficult to ensure that containers are properly configured to keep them safe.
