Range Media Partners and Google’s production initiative, 100 Zeros, is adding a range of microdramas to its roster. This includes forthcoming shows in development from “The Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss, “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller and “Charlie’s Angels” director McG. The initiative comes as demand for vertical video continues to expand.
To support these projects, 100 Zeros has built an infrastructure spanning financing, production, distribution and monetization across a broad spectrum of vertical videos. And while the soapy ethos of microdramas has driven the format’s popularity, 100 Zeros is developing a range of shows across genres and formats, including scripted, non-scripted, serialized and bingeable content. Dozens of projects are currently in development.
