PwC partners who do not introduce AI have no future in the company, warns the US CEO

The US boss of PricewaterhouseCoopers has warned that partners who do not deal with AI have no future at the consulting firm.

Paul Griggs said senior staff who aren’t “paranoid about putting AI first” would likely be replaced by others willing to embrace the technology.

“I don’t think anyone gets a free pass here. Anyone,” Griggs told the Financial Times.

An employee who believes they have the “ability to opt out of the AI” is “not going to stick around as long,” Griggs added.

Consulting is one of many industries that experts believe are in the firing line of advances in AI, given the technology’s ability to automate work related to tasks such as accounting, research and analysis of business problems.
