Purdue and Google Public Sector announce AI education alliance

Purdue University and Google Public Sector have announced a strategic partnership designed to advance AI-enabled education, accelerate AI innovation and expand AI workforce development.

The collaboration, approved by the Purdue Board of Trustees’ finance and executive committees, includes a five-year commitment to the Google Partnership for Accelerated Research program, collaboration on an AI competency graduation requirement, access to Tensor Processing Units and a trusted tester program for Google DeepMind’s co-scientist, according to a community announcement.

The partnership also includes the creation of the Google AI Hub within Purdue’s Hall of Data Science and AI.
