An environmental impact review public notice is drawing resident backlash in Prince William County due to scant details regarding the true scope of Microsoft’s planned data center campus in Bristow.
The notice, which initiated a public comment period lasting from July 13 through Aug. 7, outlines the potential watershed impacts of the proposed tech hub at 13490 University Blvd.
The site is south of Interstate 66, east of University Boulevard, north of Wellington Road and accessible from University Boulevard.
According to the July 13 notice, “The project includes the construction of two one-story buildings that will store multiple storage servers, along with an on-site electrical substation, water storage facility and detention ponds.”
Other key components include:
Installation of domestic and fire hydrant water
Sanitary sewer
