Sony will go live later today with another PlayStation 5 restock, which gives hope to anyone trying to grab their next-generation gaming machine in time for the Christmas break. Let’s hope it gets better than the last drop.
It has been a hot time for consumers in the UK the past few weeks as both Black Friday and Cyber Monday offered little to no options for walking away with a console. Sony itself also suffered from technical issues on Thursday, which meant the majority of people didn’t pick up a PS5.
While disappointing, Sony has re-stocked at least seven times in the past four weeks – arguably the most consistent on stock declines. The next one is supposed to take place today (see emails!) With whom exclusively invited able to purchase a PS5 from 8am GMT. The queue will then open to the public at 10 a.m. GMT, giving everyone else a chance to secure one.
The news of the imminent drop was also about the extremely reliable PS5 share UK Twitter account.

As mentioned, Sony last went live on December 2nd, despite technical issues. The apology email to these consumers read as follows: “Unfortunately we had to cancel today’s event due to technical problems. You are a valued customer and you will be invited to another exclusive event to give you the opportunity to purchase a PlayStation 5 console once the technical issues have been resolved. Please keep an eye on your inbox. ”
These issues are all being stamped out for today’s event, having previously had successful sales throughout November. These drops are only ever discs and digital consoles, not bundles. The queuing system will also place you in a random location instead of opting for the first-come-first-served principle. So our only advice is to be online early enough and may the odds be in your favor.
