About a dozen people passed out flyers and garnered supportive honks from passing cars as they protested a proposed Microsoft data center on Saturday afternoon.

DORR, Dorr Township — Speaking out, in the snow.

About a dozen people in downtown Dorr Township braved the elements on Saturday afternoon to protest a proposed Microsoft data center.

The demonstrators passed out flyers and garnered supportive honks from passing cars.

“It feels good, you know, I could be home watching TV or something, but I enjoy getting out here and doing something,” said Nick Barlow, who lives about two miles from the potential site.

“In this day and age, I don’t know what to believe,” he said. “All I know, [is that] I don’t want a giant 28-acre building two miles from my house.”
