TL;DR: Two great gaming-centric subscription services — Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus — are both on sale on Amazon. Game Pass comes with a free extra month, and PS Plus is $15 off for a limited time.

If you play games regularly, you really have no reason not to pick up a subscription to Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus (or you could always grab both if you have both consoles — just saying). The services basically pay for themselves, supplying you with more free games and exclusive member discounts than you can count.

If you haven’t signed up yet, you really have no excuse now — both Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation plus are on sale (Nintendo Switch Online is still full price… Sorry). Over on Amazon, Game Pass comes included with an extra month when you buy a one-month Ultimate tier code (priced at $14.99), and PlayStation Plus is $15 off for a whole year subscription.

While they’re both gaming-centric services, Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus are actually quite different. The former works more like Netflix — when you sign up, you gain access to the entire Game Pass library to play at your leisure, which includes a large swathe of titles from indie darlings to AAA powerhouses (and you can actually download them, which means no streaming-related latency issues). On the other hand, PlayStation Plus gets you a bevy of online features, and a handful of free games each and every month. Both services also include fun membership benefits like special discounts and sales on games for purchase.

Expand your game collection at the push of a button — grab an Xbox Game Pass subscription on Amazon and get a free extra month, or get a year of PlayStation Plus for $15 off
