The hundreds of Perth drivers who received fines after being filmed by AI traffic cameras are among the hundreds fighting in court.
More than 40,000 fines have been issued in the last six months.
Perth driver Olivia Wood is contesting the fine she received after her eight-year-old’s seatbelt was caught on camera on the Kwinana Freeway in Salter Point.
Wood was given eight demerit points and a $550 fine, which almost cost her her driver’s license.
“I always make sure my children are strapped in at the start and throughout the journey,” she said 9News Perth.
