JAKARTA – Perplexity will launch Comet, its Artificial Intelligence (AI) based browser, to the iPhone. This can be seen from the pre-order page of the application that can be seen on the App Store.

On the page, as reported via 9to5mac, Perplexity will release the Comet app to the iPhone on March 11. This is the second time Comet has been introduced into the Apple ecosystem after being introduced on the Mac last summer.

With the appearance of the Comet page on the App Store, users can sign up for automatic downloads. The Comet app will be immediately installed on the user’s device after it is officially launched by Perplexity.

Although the iPhone version of Comet is already visible, Perplexity has not yet seen adding a special iPad app. Until now, Comet is only available for Mac users, Windows-based devices, and Android phones.

Comet not only works like a browser, but also a personal assistant when it comes to browsing the internet. The app is designed to simplify workflows and turn user curiosity into productive momentum.

While using the browser, users can easily summarize articles, shop, and conduct in-depth research. Perplexity claims that Comet is able to adapt to each user’s way of thinking and work habits.

Comet can also handle tedious administrative tasks while browsing the internet. That way, users are expected to complete their tasks faster than using a regular browser.
