Perplexity Hands Out Mac Minis for Testing

Business Insider reports that AI startup Perplexity sent a small number of Mac Minis to selected people so they could try its new Personal Computer capability. Perplexity’s Personal Computer began rolling out in April and, according to Business Insider, “works across local files, native applications, and the web” and, as of Friday, runs only in the Perplexity Mac app. Business Insider says Perplexity confirmed it gave a small number of Mac Minis to people “interested in getting the maximum use case out of Personal Computer in the Perplexity Mac app.” Several tech-focused content creators posted public thanks after receiving the devices, which follows an influencer-style pattern to showcase the experience.
