The disruptions in the physical world have spilled over and created “digital waves” that require us to attend to constants during our transformation. That was one of the key messages from Rohit Ghai, CEO of RSA, during a keynote address at the RSA conference on Monday.
Ghai noted that 2021 was the year of ransomware, supply chain attacks and disinformation attacks, and that we live in a hyper-connected world where physical and digital have become indistinguishable.
“Disruption is a tough but fair lesson in Darwinian survivalism,” he said. “Disruptions shape transformations in three ways: They show us what doesn’t change and is a constant; they crystallize what is most important, namely the imperatives; and they expose falsely held beliefs – the dogmas.”
