The Pentagon has canceled a controversial cloud computing contract that Microsoft awarded through Amazon after allegations of interference by the Trump administration.
The US Department of Defense said yesterday evening that the contract no longer meets its requirements due to the “changing technology environment” but did not mention the conflict between the tech companies.
Microsoft received the massive Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure, or Jedi, contract in 2019, though Amazon was considered a favorite by many.
