Planned Parenthood’s online tracking raises privacy concerns

Women seeking an abortion may have a new set of concerns when they visit Planned Parenthood’s website to find out about clinics in their area.

The organization’s online appointment scheduling tool gives it the ability to share patients’ whereabouts — and sometimes the type of abortion they’ve chosen — with big tech companies. my colleague Tatum Hunter reports.

That could raise privacy concerns as about 20 states ban abortion or are preparing to ban it after the Supreme Court ruling is overturned Roe v. calf.

To be fair, the state bans passed so far would allow abortion providers – not patients…
