Parler is suing Amazon after the tech company booted the social network favored by far-right web hosting services.
Amazon Web Services launched Parler from its cloud services just after midnight Pacific time Monday. The website went offline at 4:30 a.m. Eastern Time. Amazon said it deleted Parler because it wasn’t safe to monitor content on its platform to encourage or incite violence.
“Amazon’s decision to effectively terminate Parler’s account is apparently motivated by political animations. It is apparently also intended to reduce competition in the market for microblogging services in favor of Twitter,” said Parler in a complaint filed with the federal court in Seattle on Monday .
