Australian parents will soon be able to use AI to access the topics their teen has browsed on meta-owned platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
The social media The giant is rolling out changes to how parents can access their child’s Meta AI search history in Supervised Mode.
Meta AI is a chat tool embedded in Facebook, Messenger and Instagram that includes an AI character feature that can be blocked.
The US technology company will now introduce safeguards to allow parents to see their child’s most recent AI interactions in Meta’s “Family Center”.
The feature, which provides “insights” into topics searched via Meta AI, was first tested in October last year and will be rolled out permanently in Australia, the UK, the US, Canada and Brazil in the next few weeks.
