Pantherun Technologies, a cybersecurity firm, was praised by Intel’s Emerging Enterprise Program for their advancements in edge device security. By utilizing Intel FPGAs, Pantherun was able to implement real-time AES encryption on resource-limited edge devices, ensuring data security without vulnerabilities to breaches.
Traditional data security solutions often require a significant amount of resources, resulting in higher costs, increased latency, and performance issues. Pantherun’s chip-based communication solution, powered by AI, overcomes these challenges by providing robust end-to-end encryption in real-time without compromising quality. Utilizing Intel FPGAs like Cyclone V and Arria 10 allows Pantherun to offer flexible deployment options, as well as field upgrades and post-deployment reprogramming. Intel Startup Program mentors also helped ensure Pantherun’s solution seamlessly interoperates with existing encryption methods such as SSL and IPSec.
With the support of the Intel Startup Program, Pantherun successfully implemented their solution in an Indian Railways project aimed at installing CCTV cameras in passenger train coaches. Instead of the conventional approach, which involved storing data in each coach, Pantherun’s AI-powered solution enabled real-time video feed transmission in high quality to a central location with strong end-to-end encryption.
Srinivas Shekar, co-founder of Pantherun Technologies, expressed confidence in their innovative approach, stating that it is revolutionizing cybersecurity for edge devices. The solution allows for high-performance encryption on devices that previously could not support such security measures, representing a significant advancement in data breach prevention. Pantherun is grateful to the Intel Startup Program team for their assistance in preparing and mainstreaming their solutions.
Established in 2019, Pantherun Technologies recently secured pre-Series A funding from notable investors like Capital2B fund, SIDBI Venture Capital Limited, Piper Serica Angel Fund, growX ventures, 8X Ventures, and PointOne Capital. This funding will support Pantherun’s mission of enhancing cybersecurity across various industries by reducing resource requirements for edge devices, eliminating the need for exchanging encryption keys, and making AES encryption easily deployable on resource-limited devices.
