Palantir and Oracle have announced a partnership that will allow Palantir to offer its Foundry platform and artificial intelligence platform on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure platform. This collaboration aims to provide Palantir’s technology on Oracle’s various cloud deployment options and offer AI infrastructure, distributed cloud, and sovereign AI capabilities to support Palantir’s AI and data analytics platforms. The agreement is intended to help organizations adopt Oracle’s systems while maintaining security and regulatory compliance.

Palantir, founded with the help of the CIA-backed investment fund In-Q-Tel, has previously generated controversy for providing digital profiling tools to agencies such as the CIA and ICE. CEO Alex Karp has been outspoken about his views on modern politics, describing the “woke” movement as a “weak pagan religion” that is corrupting institutions. This partnership with Oracle adds to Palantir’s existing agreements with AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.

Oracle offers different cloud product packages with regional governance and compliance in mind, including public cloud regions, dedicated OCI regions, Oracle EU Sovereign Cloud, and Oracle Government Cloud. The Palantir deal is expected to encourage organizations to utilize Oracle’s systems while integrating with its other cloud AI services, such as Oracle Digital Assistant and Oracle AI Services. Oracle has also introduced its own OCI generative AI service and collaborated with companies like Databricks to enhance its analytics and AI technologies.

Overall, the partnership between Palantir and Oracle aims to provide organizations with advanced AI and data analytics capabilities while ensuring security and compliance. This collaboration signifies Oracle’s continued efforts to expand its presence in the analytics and AI space, offering customers innovative solutions for leveraging data and building machine learning models. Through this partnership, Oracle and Palantir hope to drive adoption of their technologies and help organizations achieve success in their data-driven initiatives.
