Orolia Defense & Security announced on AUSA annual meeting & exhibition which the company has successfully proven Second generation beacon Cospas-Sarsat Signaling capability with his personal recovery device via the Cospas-Sarsat Network.
In June, Orolia and a host of US government stakeholders in the defense, aerospace, and science sectors, including NOAA and the DoD, worked together to establish the capabilities to meet and demonstrate the newly adopted second generation Cospas-Sarsat specification (406 MHz). The demonstration was held simultaneously on multiple continents to consolidate the global capabilities of Orolia’s technology and the global coverage of the Cospas-Sarsat infrastructure.
This demonstration provided useful data to aid in the qualification of Orolia’s personnel rescue device and helped educate government officials on the readiness of second generation ground and satellite infrastructure.
