BNP Paribas expects the company to increase its capital expenditure forecast for the 2027 financial year to meet obligations under the Stargate project.

  • BNP Paribas expects the company to make investments of up to $100 billion.
  • Thirty-six out of 43 analysts rate ORCL stock as a “Buy” or higher, six as a “Hold” and one as a “Sell.”
  • For the fourth quarter, analysts expect revenue of $19.1 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $1.96.

Oracle (ORCL) shares attracted a lot of attention from investors on Friday after BNP Paribas said it expects the software and cloud giant to increase its capital expenditure budget for the next fiscal year.

At the time of writing, ORCL stock fell more than 10% due to a general sell-off in the market and was among the top trending tickers on Stocktwits.

According to Seeking Alpha, analyst Stefan Slowinski said in a research note that the company expects to spend between $80 billion and $100 billion to bring some data center campuses online…
