Oracle’s Larry Ellison believes he has identified the next big AI company

On December 10th Results callOracle CEO Larry Ellison said the company is focused on solving the “very important problem” of enabling the latest developments AI Models to complete multi-level considerations of private corporate data without putting the data at risk.

“Training AI models on public data is the largest and fastest-growing enterprise in history,” he said. “AI models based on private data will be an even bigger and more valuable business. Oracle databases contain most of the high-value private data in the world.”

Once known for databases and software, the company has aggressively moved into cloud infrastructure. Competing with companies like Amazon, Microsoft and Google, the company is increasing spending on data centers and hardware to secure big AI deals.

Extreme spending

The company expects full-year capital spending of about $50 billion, up from the $35 billion forecast in September. In fiscal 2025, Oracle spent $21.2 billion.
