Oracle says a data center outage is causing problems for TikTok users in the US

WASHINGTON, Jan 27 (Reuters) – Oracle (ORCL.N)opens new tab On Tuesday, it said the problems facing U.S. users of the social media app TikTok were the result of a temporary weather-related power outage at an Oracle data center, after California Gov. Gavin Newsom linked the problems to the suppression of anti-presidential content Donald Trump.

“Over the weekend, an Oracle data center experienced a temporary weather-related power outage that impacted TikTok,” Oracle spokesman Michael Egbert said in an email.
