Construction on Oracle Corporation’s pedestrian bridge could begin as early as this summer, and newly released renderings provide a glimpse into the sprawling Cumberland River project.

The tech giant is targeting an August project start, according to permits recently filed with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. Building permits will take two years.

According to state approval, the bridge — which will connect the East Bank to Germantown — will be 16 feet wide and extend about 863 feet across the Cumberland.
