Oracle unveiled updated electronic health records (EHR) software that is poised to transform the sector in the US after receiving necessary approvals for commercial use.
The system is cloud-based and uses AI end-to-end to improve administrative processes, payment systems and patient care.
AI is being used in several manual tasks to make doctors’ work easier by allowing access to menus via voice control. The technology also offers personalization options for tasks at hand.
Oracle trained the AI in various clinical areas, including diagnoses, medications, care plans and health conditions, and can provide relevant information before consultations.
The company emphasized the native use of AI and the openness of its system, meaning users can extend or create agents while also having the ability to incorporate third-party systems into the mix.
