KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Oracle plans to lay off more than 500 employees at its Kansas City campus in the coming months.
In a software company WARN submissionit said that those affected would be notified between March 27th and 31st and that their activities would be terminated between May 26th and June 1st.
oracle The filing noted that the Kansas City campus at 8779 Hillcrest Road will not close, but the layoffs are expected to be permanent.
In total, 539 positions is released.
CNBC reports The layoffs will help free up money for Oracle to build AI data center infrastructure.
Oracle declined to comment on the layoffs.
