Despite Wall Street jitters and reports to the contrary, Oracle insists its $300 billion data center deal with OpenAI is on track and on schedule.
Oracle denied Bloomberg report that Big Red had delayed some of its data center projects until 2028 – a full year later than originally planned.
“Site selection and delivery timelines were determined and mutually agreed upon in close consultation with OpenAI following the closing of the agreement. There were no delays in locations required to meet our contractual obligations and all milestones remain on track,” Oracle said El Reg and other outlets in a statement. “We remain fully committed to OpenAI and are confident in our ability to deliver on both our contractual obligations and our future expansion plans.”
