Optus Chief Executive Kelly Bayer Rosmarin has resigned from Optus.
This follows the nationwide outage nearly two weeks ago – which cut off services to more than 10 million Australians.
This was the second crisis under Ms Bayer Rosmarin’s watch – who last year was criticised for her response to the cyber-attack where thousands of customer records were published online.
Optus Chief Financial Officer Michael Venter will assume the role of interim CEO while the parent company Singtel conducts a global search for a new chief executive.
Sky News Business Editor Edward Boyd was joined by telecommunications consultant Paul Budde to discuss Ms Rosmarin’s resignation.
