ChatGPT owner OpenAI will become the lead customer of a $7 billion data center to be built by NextDC that will be the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
The data center will be used to run the artificial intelligence models, tasks and queries of OpenAI’s growing number of Australian corporate customers, including Commonwealth Bank, Wesfarmers, Fortescue, Canva, Atlassian and Virgin Australia.
