It is Tuesday, and the AI ‘pace pause’ show continues.
Today’s theme is ‘One More Thing’, in honor of Apple, which had a big week and has more to discuss today. But one more thing really applies to a lot more things on what I have been calling ‘The Blip 3.0’, Anthropic’s call for the whole industry to pace the frontier.
Dario Amodei made that call on Saturday. His peers and arch rivals, Sam Altman, Elon Musk and Demis Hassabis, jumped in within hours. The exception was Nvidia’s Jensen Huang, who said this may be more of a show: watch what they are trying to sell, and how much of it.
