In the November 12 issue of Oracle, Professor David Schultz of the Department of Political Science defended why we should not ban a Turning Point USA chapter here on campus and argued why he chose to be that organization’s faculty advisor. His defense makes fundamental claims about why a diversity of perspectives is valuable not only to a liberal arts education but also to the integrity of those of us who value life in a liberal democracy.
It would be difficult to disagree with the principles he sets out. Of course it is like that…
