Okestro’s VMware Winback Revenue Surges 99.5% as It Accelerates Expansion into AI Infrastructure — BigGo Finance

Okestro, a South Korean cloud infrastructure software company, announced on the 17th that its winback revenue for the first half of this year increased 99.5% year-over-year, driven by virtualization migration demand triggered by Broadcom’s changes to VMware’s licensing policy. The company’s strategy is to go beyond simple VMware replacement and target customer infrastructure expansion demand with its own full-stack software spanning containers, multi- and hybrid cloud, DevOps, and AI inference.

According to the company, the number of winback customers doubled during the same period, with financial sector revenue up 216%. Private sector revenue, including manufacturing, expanded roughly 15-fold. Okestro plans to leverage the migration experience and customer base it has built in the South Korean VMware winback market over the past three years to aggressively expand its cloud-native and AI infrastructure businesses.
