NVIDIA will invest $3 billion in Meta’s equity offering as the two companies deepen their collaboration on artificial intelligence models, agent development and computing infrastructure. The partnership will focus on improving the training and deployment of Meta’s Muse family of models while exploring additional tools for AI agent security and monitoring.
The companies plan to work together on optimising AI workflows to improve performance and reduce the overall cost of running AI systems. Meta’s Muse models and agents, which run on NVIDIA infrastructure, have recorded strong benchmark performance and increased consumer downloads since their launch, according to the companies.
The collaboration could also extend to NVIDIA’s OpenShell Reference Architecture, including OpenShell for safer AI agent deployment and NVIDIA Sentry for monitoring agent behaviour. The companies are also considering further cooperation involving the processing of structured, unstructured and graph data.
Meta to expand NVIDIA infrastructure deployment
Meta plans to increase its use of NVIDIA’s computing infrastructure, including Vera Rubin systems and Vera CPUs, to support next-generation AI agents. The expansion is intended to improve computing efficiency and performance as Meta develops AI systems for a larger user base.
The deployment will also include NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4 technology to improve network efficiency and throughput.
