Nvidia releases first G-Sync Pulsar update to deal with artifacts below 90 FPS, plus a new 60Hz mode

There’s a new firmware update for Nvidia G-Sync Pulsar – version 1.1.4. In fact, it’s the first-ever for Team Green’s latest generation of G-Sync technology and is freely available to support anyone with a new Pulsar monitor. The update is aimed at fixing low-FPS artifacts when you’re running below 90 FPS, and adds a new 60Hz mode for games locked at 60 FPS.

Nvidia finally released its G-Sync Pulsar technology at CES earlier this year, currently available in a limited number of Pulsar gaming monitors (just four at launch). The tech is designed to offer over 1,000Hz-level smoothness by combining Variable Refresh Rate and Ultra Low Motion Blur technology to produce a modern strobing solution for top-tier motion clarity.

G-Sync Pulsar Monitor Firmware version 1.1.4 released

The firmware update includes G-SYNC Pulsar optimizations, eliminates sharp double images when operating under 90 FPS, fixes the in-monitor FPS indicator when below 90 FPS, and adds a fixed 60Hz strobing mode (for games locked to 60 Hz).
