Nvidia NVDA is investing $3 billion in Meta Platforms
The investment will come through Meta’s equity offering, deepening an already important relationship between the world’s dominant AI chip supplier and one of its largest hyperscale customers.
The companies also plan to expand work on Meta’s Muse family of AI models and agents, with a focus on improving both training and inference performance.
Meta’s Muse models already run on Nvidia infrastructure and have delivered strong benchmark performance alongside rapid consumer adoption.
The next phase of the partnership will focus heavily on optimization.
Meta and Nvidia said they plan to work together across AI workflows to improve performance and lower total cost of ownership, which has become increasingly important as inference workloads scale.
The companies are also considering broader collaboration around Nvidia’s OpenShell Reference Architecture, including OpenShell for safer AI-agent deployment and Nvidia Sentry for monitoring agent behavior.
On the infrastructure side, Meta is expanding deployments of Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform and Vera CPUs, alongside Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4.
That should give Meta more computing capacity for large-scale AI training and inference while strengthening Nvidia’s position across another major hyperscaler’s data-center stack.
