NVIDIA Brings Native GeForce Now Client For Linux & Fire TV Client, RTX 5080 Tier Gets New AAA Games
NVIDIA’s GeForce Now cloud gaming service is getting updates at CES 2026. These updates include a native client for Linux and Fire TV platforms, which extends the reach of the cloud gaming service to many more gamers. So far, Linux gamers have found ways to make GeForce Now work on their platforms, but with native clients, the service is more accessible.
In addition to native support, NVIDIA GeForce Now will also get more ways to play with support for flight controls, and new SSO support (Battle.net, etc). GeForce Now has a wide variety of platforms supported, such as Steam OS integration on the Steam Deck, VR headset support, and even works on various OS’s such as Android, Mac, Windows, and Windows (ARM).
Furthermore, NVIDIA is adding brand new AAA games to GeForce Now’s 5080-tier subscriptions. These titles include Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, Crimson Desert, and Active Matter. The NVIDIA RTX 5080 Blackwell tier is already available on GeForce Now for a monthly subscription of $19.99 US. The tier is available in North America, Europe, and Japan, with further regions being added later.
Some of the main features of the tier include:
- Play on any device
- Up To 5K 120 FPS or 1080p…
