Previous rumors about the RTX 5060 Ti and 5070 Ti production cuts claimed that only the 16 GB models would be severely restricted, with 8 GB models still being available throughout 2026. However, this time around, the 8 GB variants are allegedly being affected as well, although the RTX 5050, which uses older GDDR6 VRAM that isn’t as supply-constrained, will be less affected. While cards with 8 GB will still be available, the supply will “trickle in” at low volume. Supposedly, gamers may feel some relief in Q4, 2026, although one source also noted that NVIDIA is planning a roughly 30% price increase across the board, with BOM kits seeing a price increase.
