Nutanix will soon offer support for Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop in hybrid environments. This move will allow organizations to run Azure Virtual Desktop workloads on-premises through Nutanix’s AHV hypervisor, while continuing to use Azure’s cloud-based management and brokering services.

The expanded support aims to give organizations the flexibility to deploy virtual desktops both on-premises and in the cloud.
Customers will be able to combine Nutanix’s on-premises infrastructure with the scalability of Azure, including the ability to run Microsoft applications like Microsoft 365 and Teams with native security features and optimizations.
This approach is designed for organizations that require tight control over the locality and security of data due to regulatory or compliance demands.
