The Senior Vice President of Product Management at Nutanix, Thomas Cornely, expressed excitement about the positive response to Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box and its ability to simplify enterprise AI adoption while maintaining control over privacy and costs. Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 offers expanded support for Nvidia accelerated computing and LLM, as well as simplified model management and integrations with Nvidia’s NIM microservices and Hugging Face LLM library. The updated version includes a unified user interface for easier model management, API endpoint creation, and Nutanix file and object integration.
Collaborating with Hugging Face, Nutanix aims to accelerate customers’ AI journey by providing integrated access to the Hugging Face library and LLM execution. This partnership allows joint customers to utilize Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 to efficiently employ validated Hugging Face LLMs. Additionally, Nutanix has enhanced its unstructured data platform for AI/ML applications by increasing performance, density, and total cost of ownership.
To further support AI initiatives, Nutanix introduced the AI Partner Program to simplify access to a wider ecosystem of AI partners for real-world genAI solutions. This program offers various benefits for partners, including Nutanix AI Ready validation and marketing alignment activities. Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 is expected to be available in the second half of 2024, with ongoing developments in support for Nvidia GPU Direct and NX-9151.
The collaboration between Nutanix and Hugging Face aims to enhance access to LLM for companies seeking secure control of their models. This partnership aligns with Hugging Face’s mission to enable organizations to build AI applications using open-source tools. In response, IDC’s Vice President of Infrastructure Research highlighted the importance of maintaining control over private data when leveraging genAI.
