Nutanix, a leader in hybrid multi-cloud computing, recently announced new features for Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box, including integrations with NVIDIA NIM inference microservices and Hugging Face Large Language Model (LLM) Library. They also introduced the Nutanix AI Partner Program to bring together AI solutions and services partners to assist customers in running, managing, and securing generative AI applications on the Nutanix Cloud Platform and GPT-in-a-Box. Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 was unveiled, offering expanded support for NVIDIA accelerated computing and LLM, as well as enhanced model management and integrations with NVIDIA NIM and Hugging Face LLM library.
The new GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 will provide a unified user interface for better model management, API endpoint creation, and user access key management. It will also support Nutanix files and objects, along with NVIDIA Tensor GPUs for more efficient AI workloads. Additionally, Nutanix partnered with Hugging Face to integrate access to the LLM library, enabling customers to use validated Hugging Face LLMs on the Nutanix platform. The collaboration aims to streamline the deployment of AI models with Nutanix support.
Furthermore, Nutanix enhanced its unstructured data platform for AI/ML applications with improved performance, density, and total cost of ownership. Nutanix Unified Storage now supports a new high-density NVMe platform, offering faster data reads and GPU resource utilization. The company also added support for NVIDIA GPU Direct Storage to accelerate AI/ML applications and extended cybersecurity measures for data protection. Nutanix collaborated with server OEMs to provide a wide range of AI-optimized GPUs and density-optimized systems for better workload management and reduced TCO.
The Nutanix AI Partner Program was introduced to expand the ecosystem of AI partners and simplify access to GenAI solutions for customers. The program offers benefits such as Nutanix AI Ready validation, individual solution briefs, and marketing alignment to promote AI use cases across various industries. Participating partners include Codeium, DataRobot, DKube, Instabase, Lamini, Neural Magic, among others.
Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box 2.0 is expected to be available in the second half of 2024, with support for NVIDIA GPU Direct and NX-9151 in development. The additional features in NUS and Data Lens are currently accessible to customers. More information can be found on the Nutanix website.
