Nutanix Names Brian Martin as Chief Legal Officer

Nutanix, a key player in hybrid multicloud computing, has appointed Brian Martin as its new Chief Legal Officer. Martin brings over 20 years of experience in legal leadership roles within B2B technology companies. He has a track record of managing large teams and developing legal personnel as company leaders, particularly in transitioning to cloud services. Martin aims to leverage his expertise to drive innovation and execution at Nutanix.

Rajiv Ramaswami, President and CEO of Nutanix, expressed his confidence in Martin’s ability to guide trust, transparency, and compliance within the organization. Martin’s responsibilities will include overseeing all legal aspects of Nutanix, drawing on his previous roles as EVP and general counsel at Lyten, Inc., SVP, general counsel, and corporate secretary at Juniper Networks, and other senior legal positions at companies like KLA-Tencor Corporation and Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Martin is involved in community service, serving on the boards of directors of Family Supportive Housing and The Law Foundation Silicon Valley. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester and a Juris Doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Martin has been recognized as the Bay Area’s General Counsel of the Year and one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics.
