Nutanix appoints Faiz Shakir as VP & Managing Director – Sales, Southern Asia

Bengaluru: Nutanix has appointed Faiz Shakir as managing director of its India division. Shakir has been with Nutanix for over eight years, most recently serving as the VP and managing director-sales for India division.

Prior to joining Nutanix, he had sales leadership positions with Dell EMC and NewWave Computing in India. Nutanix’s India business saw a 22% year-on-year increase in client count in the fourth quarter, as cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization remained top priorities for organizations.

In his new role, he will be responsible for driving the business growth and strategy of the leading multi-cloud company in the region predominantly comprising of India, ASEAN and Hong Kong. He brings an experience of over 2 decades in the IT infrastructure domain, spanning across different segments, markets, and organizations.
