Nutanix and VMware have ended a lawsuit that sparked when hyper-converged upstart Rajiv Ramaswami lured away from Virtzilla and into his CEO seat.

Ramaswami was VMware’s cloud boss when he made the jump, but he started talking to Nutanix about a new gig while he was still on the payroll and didn’t tell Virtzilla about it. VMware alleged that there was a conflict of interest as it appeared that Ramaswami’s knowledge of the company’s strategies and plans was beneficial to Nutanix.

The matter went to the Superior Court of California and the Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware.

The latter matter is now closed and VMware has passed the case.
