NTT Data has launched a cloud-based intelligence enterprise platform in the form of Nucleus, built on Microsoft Azure.
The offering brings together key capabilities across analytics, processes and operations, in a move designed to increase automation adoption at enterprise level.
Operating as a Microsoft Azure Expert Managed Services Provider, the platform was built using cloud-native applications through Microsoft Azure.
“Automating core business processes is top of mind for enterprises,” said Gavriella Schuster, corporate vice president of commercial partner at Microsoft. “The progression of NTT Data’s intelligent automation services, built using Azure data and artificial intelligence [AI] services, will help clients meet the needs of the industry now and into the future.”
Specifically, Nucleus aims to “bridge capability gaps” in third-party and open-source software through automated process management, data management and AI solutions. In addition, the platform is built to provide “real-time visibility” into data and operations, alongside facilitating the deployment of pre-integrated solutions.
“The world has evolved, and enterprises are dealing with increasingly complicated systems, processes and data in different silos, while trying to optimise and transform their operations,” added Eric Clark, chief digital officer of NTT Data Services. “We designed a modern and flexible platform with our clients’ needs in mind.
“By utilising Microsoft Azure, NTT Data brings the right mix of IP, third-party tools, and open source solutions together to help our clients rapidly deploy and make smarter decisions with their data.”
According to Maribel Lopez – industry analyst of US-based Lopez Research – when services can be delivered efficiently from an integrated point of view, it scales the ability to automate and innovate.
“Products aren’t the same as outcomes,” Lopez added. “Companies are looking for integration offerings that deliver flexibility, automation and intelligence so they can focus on updating processes to drive new business outcomes.”
Specific to Southeast Asia, NTT Data acquired Locus Telecommunication in September to enhance digital transformation offerings amid market expansion in Thailand.
The acquisition came more than two months after global SAP specialist itelligence AG acquired ISS Consulting, as the subsidiary of NTT Data Group builds out software capabilities in Thailand.
